Oprisor – Pinot Noir
LA CETATE
LA CETATE is not only one of the brands that have made history in the Romanian wine renaissance. For Crama Oprișor LA CETATE was the first line of premium wines, made with a meticulousness and care that brought exceptional results since the first year of production.
In the name of a history that is still being written, but also to celebrate the rebirth of these countries. If the place has been blessed by the Creator with all that is necessary to give people the best fruits, then surely the “man who sanctifies the place” has also found his destiny in the history of Oprisor.
The elegance of the interwar period, or even the elegance of times long past, captured in a liqueur that tries to hide its true nature and wear an impenetrable armor.
But… the longer the game lasts, the greater the pleasure!
A Pinot Noir whose first attack is abstruse, almost cloying. Foreign nuances, such as old wood and petrified earth, seem to dominate.
But as soon as the friendly temperatures open, the armor of the world-weary guardian disappears into dark cellars, making way for exotic aromas of rum and desiccated coconut pulp, then for the mycotic, carnal discourse of classic European wines, revealing an almost explosive fruity core, coupled with vague nuances of thick leaves.
At tasting, it confirms its smoothness, its softness and its richness in a long course in which all the olfactory sensations come together in an orderly and coherent way.
In various competitions, this Romanian wine has won several awards: the Berlin Wine Trophy awarded gold to the 2016 and Mundus Vini awarded gold to the 2004 vintage.
