Domeniile Samburesti Pinot Noir red wine dry
This Pinot Noir is a surprisingly versatile wine with an elegant taste of cherries and blackcurrants. Perfectly balanced with fine notes of fruit and liquorice, the wine embodies everything that makes the region it comes from so special. It has a high recognition value among connoisseurs. Domeniile Samburesti Pinot Noir is a wine that can be served with any meal, but it is best paired with duck or mushroom dishes.
SAMBURESTI
The Samburesti winery has received worldwide recognition several times when the wines were first awarded gold at the 1926 International Wine Fair in Paris. Like other Romanian wine producers, Samburesti fell into obscurity during communism. With the takeover of the winery by the Valvis Holding Group, the former glorious years were continued and Samburesti wines were brought back onto the international stage. The renowned French farmer Pierre-Marie Guillaume, whose grape varieties are among the best, was brought on board. In addition to replanting the cultivation area, investments were made in modernizing the plant with the latest technology.
The region’s climate and soil are naturally ideal. During the hot months, the nearby Olt River cools you down and the Carpathian Mountains protect you from strong winds.
