Selection BYZANTIUM
The Dealu Mare wine region is located between the Caraptic Arch, Subcarpathian Mountains and the eastern Romanian plains, and is almost exactly on the same latitude as the Piedmont region of Italy.
The typically warm and dry microclimate and the rather long autumn period favor the slow and complete ripening of the grapes. The growing season lasts 210 to 240 days with a maximum humidity of 55 – 80%. The ground is littered with marine fossils and the bunches of grapes are enjoying the perfect combination of warm days and cool nights.
