Viticulture and winemaking
Merlot Selene is a unique wine that perfectly represents the characteristic grape variety and terroir of Recaș. The intersection of several plots where the Merlot is grown gives it an extraordinary complexity and balance.
Each Merlot parcel is vinified separately and then blended by Nora Iriarte with different flavor profiles for Selene Merlot. This results in a wine that offers maximum fruit expression, full and balanced body, and can be enjoyed young or drunk after aging for 10-15 years.
To ensure the harmonious union of the Merlot blend, the wine is aged for 6 months in new French oak barrels of the Allier forest, made by Dargaud & Jaegle, with a capacity of 225 liters.
After this time, the wine is bottled unfiltered to maintain its integrity and preserve its full potential. Merlot Selene thus embodies the passion and dedication that go into every step of its production, inviting you to enjoy it to the fullest.
